Well, we’re this far into the pandemic and admittedly everyone is getting tired of it—so, so soooo tired! The constant barrage of news, closings, and changes in government warnings has gotten everybody’s nerves frayed.
The State of Massachusetts’ website shows that Lowell is one of the higher-risk areas of our state. And yet, the single, MOST IMPORTANT and simple thing you and your family can do to stay safe is this: wash your hands the right way!
So today, we’re going to shift gears a bit. Instead of writing like we usually do about real estate news and tips to maximize your profits when you sell your house, we’re providing you with this simple infographic that shows everyone exactly how health experts recommend we wash our hands.
I’ve found that this infographic is so easy to share with others! Please share it out with everyone you think could use this information! It is especially useful for children and teens since they are the ones most likely to skip over a thorough hand cleaning. Some of our friends have even said they’ve made it somewhat of a game with preschoolers and elementary age children—what a great way to get the concept across!
I’m willing to bet you may not be following all of these steps to be extra sure your hands are clean!!??
How To Really Wash Your Hands The Right Way
Other Simple Steps To Stay Safe
If you are now keeping you and your loved safe with effective hand-washing techniques, there are some other fairly simple ways to avoid COVID-19 infections. It has been said so many times, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t once again remind you to wear a mask at all times when outside of your home. Even though this can be uncomfortable, the truth is it saves lives! All the science that experts have collected since the pandemic began clearly shows that this stops infections. In fact Governor Charlie Baker has now mandated that masks be worn throughout Massachusetts.
Also be aware of the surfaces in your home that need to be cleaned. Your countertops, doorknobs, appliances, light switches and towels are among the places infection could begin. So take extra care to keep these clean—especially after you return home after being out in public for any amount of time.
Another simple way to avoid infection is to keep a pump bottle of hand sanitizer or Clorox wipes in your car. This should contain at least 60% alcohol to be effective. Every time you return to the vehicle, wipe your hands thoroughly and wipe down your steering wheel and keys as well. It goes without saying if you have your children in tow while running errands, make sure they clean up when they return to the car. There’s no telling how many surfaces they may have touched while you were busy getting things done—am I right?
